Nintendo Switch to be playable at Tokaigi in February

This article originally appeared on Zelda Universe.

In the wake of the Switch reveal trailer last month, Nintendo President Tatsumi Kimishima told financial analysts that following the upcoming presentation in January — detailing launch titles, price, and date — the Switch will be available for consumers to demo at various events. We now know where one of these demos will be.

Nintendo announced that at Tokaigi (also known as Game Party Japan), alongside the finals of the Splatoon Koshien tournament, attendees will be able to go hands-on with Nintendo’s upcoming home console/portable hybrid device. There’s no other information right now, but one could hazard a guess that those lucky enough to attend might get to try out the rumored Switch port of Splatoon. Or perhaps it’s a fully-fledged sequel we saw in the Switch trailer. (Spla2n anyone?)

Tokaigi takes place in Japan on February 11 and 12. Hopefully before then we’ll hear more about when and where we can all check out the Switch following the January presentation. Meanwhile, the hype train rumbles on.
